Lorna Eder received a Bachelor of Music degree from Washington State University and a Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts.  Her primary teachers were Istvan Nadas, Bruno Seidlhofer and Leonid Hambro.  Ms. Eder served on the faculty of Cal Arts from 2000-2007 and in addition, has taught at College of the Canyons and the California State Summer School for the Arts.  She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at USC in the Keyboard Collaborative Arts program, under the guidance of Kevin Fitz-Gerald.  Ms. Eder performs chamber music as a member of the Mountain Trio, as well as collaborating with the finest artists in the Los Angeles area.  She is an active performer of contemporary music and was a member of the California E.A.R. Unit for many years. She has worked with composers such as John Cage, Louis Andriessen, Morton Subotnick, Elliott Carter, Stephen L. Mosko and Mel Powell.  Recordings with the E.A.R. Unit include Zilver, works by Louis Andriessen, and Indigenous Music, works by Stephen L. Mosko.  Her most recent CD appearances are on Five Decades of Music, works by Mel Powell, and Pope Joan by Anne LeBaron.
